A short while ago my contacts at the NSW Department of Investment and Industry sent me through some info recently on two resources they developed recently: a green resource guide for business and a green courses finder.

It looks pretty interesting - the green course finder has courses listed for many job types - from environmental specialists to to marketing professionals.  Click here to view the Green Course Finder website. I noticed there weren't any Green IT courses listed on there so I forwarded the site to a few of my contacts who run Green ICT training courses so watch out for updates to the site.

The other website was the green business guide.  It has case studies on various industries like tourism, farming, and transport and logistics.  As well as some good tools like workplace environmental calculators.  And there is a good brief synopsis of regulations that apply to green initiatives.

All these initiatives come from the NSW Government's Green Skills NSW Program, which is designed to skill up the workforce in green alternatives.  One more thing to note:  there is a $1000 per participant subsidy for small businesses wanting to train up to two staff. Great idea to take advantage of this while the government is feeling generous.
