The Gartner strategic technologies are those with the potential to significantly impact IT within the next three years...and Green IT is one of them.
With the release of their annual 'top strategic technologies report', Gartner are predicting acceleration of the Green IT snowball over the next year, with regulations being one of the elements pushing the way to a more environmentally sustainable data centre environment. Gartner note this change may affect both vendors (in terms of IT selection) and IT decision making.
