ComputersOff.ORG, a not for profit organisation based in Australia, is holding a three day Green IT virtual event with presentation and live chats hosted across global time zones from 1-3 June 2010.
The Green IT Virtual Event is a part of a broader initiative tagged International Green IT Awareness Week, and is the brainchild of the ComputersOff.ORG Founder, Mark Winter.
International Green IT Awareness Week (IGITAW) has so far managed to engage over fifteen celebrities to support their initiative including Hynogaja (an American alternative music band), Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt (husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor and current candidate for Governor of California) and James Arnold Taylor (current voice of Fred Flintstone and host of other cartoon and movie characters).
Green IT experts are currently being encouraged to submit speaker applications for the Virtual Event.
