Frost and Sullivan have released new research indicating the Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) market in Australasia and Southeast Asia markets earnt revenues of around $217.7 million in 2009, with the forecast to almost double by 2016.Frost and Sullivan explain the PAC revenue increases are due to a range of factors including increased demand from telecommunications, industrial and IT industries, coupled with technological advancement and cost effective systems development. The challenge says Frost and Sullivan will be keeping up with environmental concerns and competitive products - they state "As research and development emphasizes on energy and system efficiency, average power density and heat dissipation per power system is anticipated to decline. This, in turn, can eventually erode the demand for PAC." However they advise that overall in the face of financial crisis and rationalisation of hardware, PAC systems meet the requirements for energy conservation and cost effectiveness.
