In the United Kingdom (UK), six universities and colleges have been recognised for their outstanding implementation of Green IT initiatives. The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) is hosting their 14th annual "Green Gown Awards", with a focus on twelve areas including carbon reduction, continuous improvement, courses, research, student initiatives, and green ICT.
