A Green IT Social Network with participants in 44 countries this week announced their goal of reaching 1000 members. "GreenITers" was founded by Flavio Souza to date has achieved over 600 members and 20,000 Twitter followers.
In a statement, Souza said he wanted to gain more members to support the group's goal of seeing change through doing something to make that change.
"We are raising our collective voices and sharing knowledge in pro of a greener society via technology and I hope you'll join us today as well."
The Ning-based network displays text in Japanese and English, and provides a forum for discussion, as well as member generated blog, photos and newshare.
