By August 2008 the results for a Senate Enquiry into the management of Australia's waste streams will be made public, including discussion on new strategies to reduce waste.
The senate enquiry will cover a number of areas, including:
-
trends in waste production
-
how effective existing waste management strategies are
-
assessment of new waste management strategies
-
triple bottom line assessment of their potential effectiveness
The Senate waste enquiry is taking submissions from the general public.
This is a chance for IT to influence how they want e-waste managed in Australia so if you have an interest and constructive point of view on this topic, get in and write a submission to the senate.
