By August 2008 the results for a Senate Enquiry into the management of Australia's waste streams will be made public, including discussion on new strategies to reduce waste.

The senate enquiry will cover a number of areas, including:

  1. trends in waste production
  2. how effective existing waste management strategies are
  3. assessment of new waste management strategies
  4. triple bottom line assessment of their potential effectiveness

The Senate waste enquiry is taking submissions from the general public.

This is a chance for IT to influence how they want e-waste managed in Australia so if you have an interest and constructive point of view on this topic, get in and write a submission to the senate.
