The NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change is funding a 2 year program to provide free access to a database of environmental valuation research data.
The database can help in your research for policies and best practices to support the setup of a greener IT as it provides empirical studies on the economic value of environmental benefits and human health effects.
The DECC website states that there are two types of environmental valuation:
-
Stated preference i.e. how much people would be willing to pay for changes in environmental practices; or
-
Revealed preference i.e. the associated monetary value based on market prices.
Residents of Australia, Canada, France, UK and USA have free 1 year (or 100 logons) access to this research database.
