On August 6th RingCube released a new secure remote digital workspace supporting Juniper SSL VPNs, improving business' ability enable work from home policies and save daily travel emissions for staff.
The RingCube solution is one of the great 'desktop in your pocket' solutions coming out onto the market for the past couple of years. The MojoDrive allows enterprises to provide a corporate desktop with 'critical' business applications. The data stored on the device is encrypted and before the device launches any critical applications, it runs an anti-virus/malware scan on the host PC.
From an eco friendly point of view, solutions such as the MojoDrive allows you users to work from home - which reduces travel and therefore emissions.
However from an IT management point of view, DOCKET solutions allow businesses to more easily migrate to new hardware. They don't typically solve application compatibility problems however and I do wonder what happens with the offline images in terms of updates. I'll just have to get one and try it...
